Welcome

We are a community pre-school, affiliated to the Pre-school Learning Alliance.  We are owned and managed by the parents of the children who attend our group.  We have Charitable status. Our pre-school has formed an integral part of Frimley Green for the past 40 plus years. We take children from 2 years if they are eligible for FEET funding or from 2 yrs 6 months for all others.

Our Vision
We continually reflect on and adapt our practice to meet the unique needs of every child, always striving to enrich the learning experiences we offer.
We strive to provide a stimulating and challenging environment — both indoors and out — where children feel excited to explore, discover, and learn with confidence and joy.

Our Mission
Our mission is to provide high-quality care and early education for all children in our setting.
At Frimley Green Pre-School, every child will be:
•    Given the care and guidance to be happy, healthy, and safe
•    Supported to grow, learn, and develop to their full potential
•    Nurtured in a joyful and inspiring environment where they can flourish
We work in partnership with parents and carers, valuing them as equal partners in their child’s learning journey.
We are equally committed to the professional development of our staff, ensuring they are continually supported through training and reflective practice to provide the highest standard of care and education.

Our Values
At Frimley Green Pre-School, we are guided by the following core values:
Child-Centred Learning through Play
•    We believe children learn best through joyful, hands-on play that follows their interests and curiosities.
•    We follow In the Moment Planning to respond to children’s interests and needs as they arise.
•    Practitioners observe, interact, and extend learning in real time, making the most of teachable moments.
•    Planning is responsive and personalised, enabling meaningful learning opportunities as they naturally arise in play.

Nurturing Independence
•    We support children to become confident, independent learners and thinkers.
•    Children are encouraged to manage their own self care whenever possible.
Emotional Wellbeing
•    We help children recognise and understand their emotions.
•    Praise is given for effort, resilience and progress- not just outcomes.
•    Strong, nurturing relationships between adults and children form the foundation for emotional security, confidence, and positive self-esteem.
Creativity and Curiosity
•    Children’s individual creativity is nurtured, valued, and celebrated.
•    We encourage children to ask questions, explore ideas, and take appropriate risks in their learning.
Outdoor Learning
•    We believe outdoor play is vital for children’s development and wellbeing.
•    Children spend as much time as possible outdoors, immersed in nature and open-ended play.
Inclusion and Belonging
•    Every child is valued, included, and supported to thrive in a safe and welcoming environment.
•    We celebrate diversity and ensure every child and family feels welcomed and respected.
Confident Communicators
•    We support children to express themselves clearly, confidently, and respectfully in their own way.
•    Communication, listening, and social interaction are nurtured every day through conversation, storytelling, and play.
Positive Partnership
•    We work in close partnership with families and carers, sharing ideas, celebrating progress, and supporting next steps.
•    We value collaboration with external agencies and professionals to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive.
Sustainability and Care for the Environment
•    We teach children to respect and care for their environment, laying the foundation for a more sustainable future.
•    Through everyday practice and play, we encourage children to reduce waste, reuse materials, and explore eco-friendly choices.
